Diethelm Keller GroupHistoric milestones The Diethelm Keller Group's origins date back to the 1860s when two Swiss pioneers ventured to the Far East: Wilhelm Heinrich Diethelm settled down in Singapore, while Edward Anton Keller went to the Philippines. The businesses set up by the two entrepreneurs developed over time into successful familiy enterprises.
While the Diethelm Group was mainly active in Thailand, Singapore, Malaysia and Indochina, the business of the Edward A. Keller Group was concentrated in the Philippines, Korea, Hong Kong, China and Australia.
Although family and business ties between Diethelm and Keller date back to the beginning of the 20th century, the two Groups formally joined forces by forming Diethelm Keller Holding only 100 years later, in June 2000. |

Diethelm Keller GroupHistoric milestones In 2002, Diethelm Keller Holding merged Diethelm Keller Services Asia, its division uniting the trading and services activities in the Far East, with SiberHegner Holding, another traditional Swiss trading house with roots mainly in Japan and China. Through this merger, DKSH was created, the No. 1 marketing and services organization in Asia.
Over time, both Diethelm and Keller expanded their presence in Europe to balance their exposure in Asia, by building up a portfolio of industrial proprietary brand companies. In 2001 Diethelm Keller Management & Investment (as of 1.1.2006 Diethelm Keller Brands) was formed as an umbrella for these companies.

Diethelm Keller GroupHistoric milestones The travel services of Diethelm Keller Group date back to the middle of the last century when Diethelm & Co. began to offer travel services in Thailand. In 2001, Diethelm Travel was established. Today, Diethelm Travel is a leading destination management company in the region. In 1979, STA Travel, founded in Australia in the early 1970s, was acquired as a joint venture of Diethelm & Co. and Ed. A. Keller & Co. Today STA is the world's premier travel organization for students and young people. |
